A Penny For Your Thoughts: A Spiritual Cleanse

Dear Pennies & Pens,

The past couple of weeks have been very trying for me. I have been going through a lot in my personal life and itā€™s made me realize several things. Hence why I have decided to do a spiritual cleanse to rededicate my life to The Most High.

Iā€™ve just been journaling, doing a partial fast, as well as cutting back on wine. I still love vino but Iā€™ve finally realized that it wonā€™t solve my problems. And donā€™t judge me because you really donā€™t know me or my situation.

Another thing that I realized is that some of my favorite celebrities are actually silly, toxic, fake people that I cannot stand. Now before someone says they are illuminati, I want to disagree. What I believe is they have allowed money and other material things to become the center of their lives. And since The Lord Giveth and The Lord Taketh Away, itā€™s just that.

Deleting those who shall remain nameless

So today, when I couldnā€™t sleep (again), I decided to delete any blog posts and YouTube videos about them as well as unsubscribing from their email newsletters. Iā€™m not even mentioning them by name because it is not worth it.

Furthermore, I am tired of people who arenā€™t famous acting like we canā€™t hold celebrities accountable for their actions. Whenever a famous person does something terrible, everyone goes: ā€œOh what do you expect, theyā€™re just a celebrity.ā€

No!!!! I expect another human being to be a good person who loves and follows God. Of course, I know that I canā€™t control others actions but Iā€™m just sayingā€¦if you see something, say something. So thatā€™s what I am doing, saying something.

Humanity has got to change for the better. We are obsessed with labels such as race, nationality, gender, money, clothes, shoes and cars. We are just awful to one another and for no good reason. God didnā€™t make us so we could spend all day every day attacking one another.

Modern humanity

All we do is go to war with each other, fight on social media, and act rude to each other in real life, itā€™s just toxic. Iā€™m not going to continue to live in a world like this. Because one day, I want to marry the man that I love and have children. And I canā€™t raise my children in this chaos and toxicity.

So please, canā€™t we all just get along? Can we stop obsessing over who has more followers, likes and comments? Can we stop talking about the clothes we own and how much money we have in the bank? Can we start to eat dinner with our families and actually talk to one another?

My goodness, itā€™s just a mess. Like where is Marvin Gaye when you need him? Everyone is just so lost and confused. The things you buy and own will never make you happy. Only God can give you true joy.

With that said, I will be back sooner than later with a new purpose because I want to help heal the world. I love you so much, Pennies & Pens! Stay healthy and happy.Ā
