In this post, Live Loud: Celebrating Penny Day, I share how I celebrated my birthday. I decided to shoot this vlog because I celebrated my birthday solo and I wanted to show you, Pennies & Pens, that it’s okay to celebrate by yourself.
My family and close friends don’t live in Dallas so that’s why I celebrated alone. Blessingly, I saw my family in August during my parents’ birthday celebration and I saw my cousin Quincy while in NYC. Then one of my sisters is coming to Dallas this weekend. That said, I still got to celebrate with loved ones.

In the vlog below, you’ll see me planning my birthday celebration, having lunch at Ocean Prime, staying at The Joule Dallas, having dinner at Kessaku and then finally brunch at Ellen’s. It was a fabulous birthday and one I will never forget!!!
Pennies & Pens, if you are single, you can celebrate solo. It’s actually more fun. You get to do what you want, when you want. I also got a massage although I didn’t share any info from that. It was a beautiful time for me because I got some much needed self care time and alone time.
