Dear Pennies & Pens,
In this post, Pen’s Rhythm Nation: Off the Wall by Michael Jackson, I talk about Michael Jackson’s iconic first solo album, Off the Wall. Originally released in 1979, this album is truly one of the greatest albums of all time.
I decided to create this post because I realized I didn’t have any content on Michael Jackson. In essence, in the coming weeks and months, I’ll be publishing posts on his first three albums as I have the records.
Prior to releasing Off the Wall, Michael was a member of The Jackson 5. It’s important to note this because like so many musicians, he started off in a band prior to releasing solo music. And more importantly, The Jackson 5 and later The Jacksons was a band of brothers.
Why The Jacksons Are One of The Most Iconic Groups of All Time
With Jackie, Jermaine, Tito, Marlon, Michael and later Randy, The Jacksons is absolutely one of the most iconic groups of all time. Way too many people forget that Michael wasn’t the only one who wrote and produced songs for the group as well as releasing solo music.
Jackie, Jermaine, Tito, Marlon and Randy also wrote songs for the group. Furthermore, Jermaine, Tito, and Randy released several solo albums. Alrighty, I am done ranting now.
Pen’s Rhythm Nation: Off the Wall by Michael Jackson
In the vlog below, I talk about Off the Wall by Michael Jackson. Produced by Quincy Jones, this album is just phenomenal. It was released 44 years ago and yet no album has ever topped it.
I truly adore this album, it’s honestly my favorite album by Michael. I like Thriller too but something about Off the Wall is just what I look for in music.
