In this post, K Penny: Unboxing Shownu for Singles Magazine, I open the July issue of Singles Magazine which features Shownu on the cover. For those that don’t know, Shownu is the leader and lead vocalist of MONSTA X, The Kings of K-Pop.
Shownu has been inactive for the past 2 years as he was completing his mandatory military enlistment. Note: all Korean men have to serve 2 years in the Korean military. And celebrities are not exempt from this government mandate.

Now that Shownu is back OUTSIDE, Monebes (fans of MONSTA X) are losing our minds. Shownu is so special because he’s got this strong stage presence, phenomenal vocals, and he’s a fantastic dancer.
Yet in so many behind the scenes videos, his awkward and shy personality comes out. It’s just so interesting to see someone who is so handsome and talented be so socially awkward.
Anywho, in the vlog below, I unbox Shownu for Singles Magazine. This is his first cover shoot in two years and he did not miss. Shownu looks stunning and it’s beautiful to see.
