Dear Pennies & Pens,
In this post, Behind the Ink: Happy 8th Anniversary #MakeUrPenLoud and ISLP, I celebrate the 8th Anniversary of my first book #MakeUrPenLoud: How To Be A Lifestyle Blogger and founding my business, ISLP, The InkSpot, LLC.
As a Black millennial woman, I can’t believe it’s been 8 years since I published my first book and started my own business. It’s been such an incredible journey. I originally founded ISLP on April 17, 2015 (our unofficial anniversary) and then established ISLP as an LLC (Limited Liability Company) on June 26, 2020 (our official anniversary).
Publishing my first book #MakeUrPenLoud
April 17th is also the day I released my first book #MakeUrPenLoud: How To Be A Lifestyle Blogger. Ever since I was a child, I dreamed of becoming a published Author. I have always loved writing and I majored in English in college hence why I have a BA in English from Hampton University.
I decided to write and publish #MakeUrPenLoud: How To Be A Lifestyle Blogger because I have been a Lifestyle Blogger for years and wanted to create content that would help others.
#MakeUrPenLoud: How To Be A Lifestyle Blogger teaches you how to create content for a lifestyle blog and work with brands. Published By ISLP, it’s my first book.
