Dear Pennies & Pens,
In this post, I’ll be sharing my Pensgiving 2022 vlog series. As y’all know, I previously hosted Pensgiving, an exclusive vegan holiday dinner party for multicultural millennial creatives here in Dallas. Since it’s been a pandemic outside, I’ve been unable to host the event.
However, I decided to continue the tradition of cooking a vegan holiday meal and just celebrate dolo solo. That said, for this vlog series, I went shopping for cooking and cleaning supplies as well as food. Then the next day, I prepped and started cooking. Finally, on Pensgiving, November 24th, I enjoyed my Pensgiving eats.
Pensgiving 2022 Vlog
In the vlog below, you’ll see me go to five different stores to gather all my cooking and cleaning supplies as well as food. You’ll also see me preparing the vegan holiday meal and doing a taste test on camera. It’s a fun vlog and I had a blast shooting it.
I wanted to shoot this vlog to dispel the myths of what it’s like to spend the holidays alone. There’s so many negative narratives about being single during the holiday season but it’s really not that bad. In fact, in many ways, it can be really fun. You get to eat what you want and do what you want. It’s truly dope.
