Dear Pennies & Pens,
I cannot believe this day has come! Happy Anniversary to the Penny Black YouTube Channel! For the past year, I have been consistently creating and uploading videos to YouTube. It’s been a long time coming as I technically started vlogging on YouTube about 11 years ago.
My now defunct channel only has about 4 or 5 videos although some of those videos got a few thousand views. I stopped vlogging on YouTube because I got frustrated when I received tons of negative comments on one of my videos. That really demotivated me and so I just left YouTube.
Over the years, I continued to blog and create videos for social media like Facebook and Instagram lives, Tik Tok videos and IGTV. However, last year it hit me how much I wanted to create video content and start a serious YouTube channel.
So I finally shot a welcome video and a few others in May 2021 and launched the channel on June 1, 2021. I am so happy and proud because it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I think it’s an amazing brand extension for ISLP and Pennies & Pens plus it’s a way to stay relevant since I’m no longer active on social media.
