Pen’s Flicks: Classic Black Movies

Dear Pennies & Pens,

Happy belated Black History and Herstory Month! My apologies for disappearing on y’all. I started my dream job and I just haven’t had time to publish new content. It’s been a hectic few weeks but I truly appreciate all the love and support.

In the video below, I talk about classic Black movies. Since this was originally shot in February for the le stylo noir Black History and Herstory Month issue, you’ll hear me make that reference several times so don’t be confused.

Sister Act 2, A Low Down Dirty Shame, Coming 2 America, Harlem Nights, Fade 2 Black, BDay

I’m learning as a content creator it’s okay to pre-shoot content and then publish it later. The innanet places a lot of pressure on creatives to constantly drop new content but sometimes you have to give people time to digest the content and discover your latest work.

So anyway, as a proud Black American woman, I am so excited to share my favorite Black movies. I’ve always loved movies, the cinematography, the costumes, set design, the acting, it’s always been fascinating to me.

As I grow my business, ISLP, The InkSpot, LLC, I fully intend to produce films because I have always wanted to make a movie.

Check out the video below and leave a comment with your favorite Black American movie and why!
