I discovered Brazilian pop star, Anitta on the same day as Becky G. You see Becky G and Anitta collaborated on a dope ass track called Banana. So after hearing that song, I said Anitta is clearly one of the baddest to ever do it so I better start paying attention.
It was at that moment that I headed over to Apple Music to add some of Anitta’s music to my library. Anitta has released several albums but my personal favorite is her latest album, Kisses. This album is all that and a bag of chips.
Kisses has fast tracks like Atencion, Banana with Becky G, then Onda Diferente with Snoop Dogg. It’s also got slower tracks like Poquito and Get To Know Me. It’s definitely got a seriously badass feminist vibe but it’s still soft and sweet.
Kisses is definitely a “press play” album. What I mean is you can turn this album on and just let it play. It’s got something for every mood you’re in. Between the beats and the lyrics, this album is a true vibe.
I recommend listening to Kisses in the morning on the way to work because it’ll help wake you up or throughout the day to keep you focused and motivated. It’s also a good album for winding down after a long day.
