Dear Pennies & Pens,
As you all know, I was in Copenhagen this past month working with The Andersen Hotel. Andersen Hotel is a chic hotel located in one of Copenhagen’s trendiest neighborhoods of Vesterbro.
As it states on their website: “Andersen Hotel is an inspirational boutique-style hotel with a focus on design, personality and heart. All 69 rooms and suites are modern, urban and uniquely decorated with wallpaper, pillows, and curtains from the international design brand Designers Guild.
Opt for one of our Cool Standard Rooms, the more spacious Brilliant Deluxe rooms, a lovely Wonderful room with sofa lounge, or one of the spacious Amazing Junior Suites, which are perfect for families. Whatever you choose, we are sure you’ll be impressed.”
I absolutely loved this hotel, Pennies & Pens! It was so chic and fabulous. As you read above, The Andersen Hotel is located in Vesterbro which is one of Copenhagen’s coolest neighborhoods. Vesterbro is right in the center of the city so staying at Andersen puts you in the center of everything. You’ll be within walking and biking distance of Copenhagen’s major attractions.
So let’s talk about my stay shall we? First off, Andersen Hotel is only 15 minutes from the airport by train. FIFTEEN MINUTES, y’all. When has an airport commute ever been that quick? So within minutes of landing, I was at the hotel. Also, Andersen is less than a five minute walk from the train station. So it’s very convenient.
Upon arrival, I checked in with no issues. The front desk staff was AMAZING!!! They were so helpful and friendly. They offered directions, assistance, whatever I needed, they were ready to lend a helping hand. For example, I forgot to purchase an adapter so that I would be able to charge my devices. So Andersen provided me with theirs during my stay! Life saver! You can’t exactly create content when all your devices are dead.
My room was located on the top floor as I stayed in a Junior suite. It was absolutely fabulous! I loved the decor and layout of the room. It was the perfect mix between modern and classic. The Danes are known for their love of design and art so it is no surprise that Andersen matches that aesthetic.
As far as the room amenities, those were perfect too. The bathtub was literally everything, Pennies & Pens! I took the best bubble baths of my entire life in there! The water was the perfect temperature (honestly, once or twice it was too hot) and the hotel had the cutest rubber duckie in the tub. I’m a sucker for cute knick knacks.
The bed was super comfortable! I slept like a baby the entire that I was there. It did get chilly in my room at night so the staff brought me an extra comforter. Y’all know Penny is skinny and gets cold easily, lol!
Anywho, the room was just everything I needed and more. I know people say that bloggers like myself gush when we’re working with a brand but honestly, I am seriously in love with Andersen. When I go back to Copenhagen, this will be my first choice. PS I am hopefully coming for Fashion Week in 2020 so Copenhagen, get ready!
So let’s talk about some of my favorite features of the hotel. First, Andersen Hotel does a daily wine hour. That’s right everyday in the lobby from 5-6pm, guests can come down to the lobby and wine down with a choice of White, Red, and Rose. Pretty dang on, fabulous huh? I met several new friends at the wine hour. It was truly amazing.
The hotel also serves breakfast in the morning. It’s a Danish style breakfast with pastries, fruit, meats, and cheeses. I couldn’t really partake because the Vegan options looked slim but it looked delicious! If I was an omnivore, I would’ve been in hog heaven as my Dad would say.
Overall, I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Andersen Hotel. I would highly recommend it. To stay at a hotel in the center of the city that is chic and cool is something we all want to do. Book your stay at Andersen Hotel so you can be Coolin in Copenhagen.
