Dear Pennies & Pens,
So a few months ago on a cold day in January, I styled a shoot for a local Dallas designer, Don’Chunte. This shoot was absolutely one of my best because I worked with such an amazing team! I must give props to Chunte for putting together a dope creative team.
MusebyDC is where high fashion meets the modern woman. Our muse is sophisticated with a slight edge. She inspires beauty and creativity, just like the muses of ancient myths and legends. We strive to create bold and fierce styles that inspire confidence. We understand that your clothing should be as interesting as you are. Just like art, fashion is a form of expression. We create and curate a selection just as fresh as your wardrobe by providing you with pieces to add to your rotation on a monthly basis.
Chunte actually found me via Model Mayhem, a site that allows designers, photographers, stylists, and models to connect, network, and share images from their portfolio. I met the rest of the team, Hair Stylist, Evia, Makeup Artist, Tony Price, Photographer, DeMarcus Mitchell, and the model Shanitta Turner on set at the shoot. The shoot was for Chunte’s website and social media, so check out musebydonchunte.com and follow @musebydc to learn more.
With that said, I’m going to let the images from the shoot speak for me. But I will say, that this was truly a dope shoot. I love the way DeMarcus captured Shanitta, Tony killed it with simple but powerful makeup, and Evia’s ponytail is everything, and of course Chunte’s clothes are fire. Ya girl LoudPen came thru on the styling by pulling accessories from Strut and ShuEsq. Y’all know I had to do my Pen.Style thang, thang.
And there it is. de la Pen…All Pen Everything. With us, keeping it real never goes wrong.
