Pen.Point: Hotel Sorella

Some of you may remember that a few years ago, when I first moved to Texas, I worked with Lone Star Court in Austin. Lone Star Court is owned by the Valencia Group, a fabulous luxury hotel management company. The Valencia Group also owns several other properties. In essence, Hotel Sorella is owned by The Valencia Group.

That said, when I began looking for a hotel in KC, I discovered the Hotel Sorella. After realizing that it was a part of the Valencia Group, I knew it would be the perfect hotel to stay in. I truly enjoyed my visit to Lone Star Court and I know that Hotel Sorella will be no different.

So let’s get down to business, shall we? Hotel Sorella is located in the heart of Kansas City’s landmark Country Club Plaza shopping district. As it states on the website, “Hotel Sorella Country Club Plaza draws from classic art and architecture, while staying on the cutting edge of amenities and style.”

Hotel Sorella is a brand new hotel that features a fusion of modern design and Mediterranean inspiration. Many of the details are a play on Spanish Seville; these details can be found in the rooftop pool, Renaissance style artwork, with a stylish dramatic flair.

Hotel Sorella is just steps away from the fountains of Country Club Plaza, and all of the dining, shopping, and nightlife that the Plaza has to offer. As far as amenities, Hotel Sorella offers complimentary European breakfast, 132 rooms, including 9 spacious suites, and 1 presidential suite, modern Mediterranean inspired cuisine at Rosso the rooftop restaurant and bar, complimentary wifi, a rooftop swimming pool, business center, fitness center, and 24 room service.

I absolutely cannot wait to arrive in KC and stay at Hotel Sorella! As y’all know my assistant Renee Jones and her husband Chris will also be staying with me at the hotel.
