Dear Pennies & Pens,
I recently partnered with the New York Institute of Art and Design to write a review of their new Personal Styling Course. I am so excited about this project! Although, I have been a stylist for a few years now, I am completely self-taught. In essence, I have been dying to take a styling class in order to hone my skills.
That said, when I received a press release from NYIAD, I knew this would be a wonderful opportunity to help NYIAD promote the course as well as sharpen my skills. This way, it’s a win/win for everyone. Having said that, let me tell you more about the course.
The Complete Course in Personal Style is the seventh course offered by NYIAD, the leading provider of online education for creative professionals all over the world. Students who enroll in the New York Institute of Art and Design’s Personal Style Course will gain a broad understanding of the world of fashion.
Students will learn the history of fashion, trends, and color theory. Additionally, they will grow their knowledge of different looks and styles, learning how to dress clients regardless of body type, age, budget or profession.
The Personal Style Course includes hundreds of hours of HD video, featuring real life image consultants and stylists demonstrating techniques they use every day. Graduates of the course will have the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the fashion world. They will go on to careers as stylists, image consultants, personal shoppers, fashion assistants and more.
Since I’ve started the course, I have learned so much about the history of fashion as well as key fashion influencers. It has truly been amazing experience! I cannot wait to complete the course so I can show off my new skills.
The best part of the course is that everything is online so I can access it at anytime which is great for me since my schedule is so hectic. I am go through the course on my own time at my at own pace which is awesome! Plus, I have a student adviser who is there to help be as successful as possible.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in becoming a stylist. In essence, if you’re are interested in fashion and styling please check this out! It’s definitely something you want to explore to get your skills on point.
