Today, I present to you Now Let Me Ink That Page: Best of 2015 aka de la Pen…All Pen Everything’s best posts from 2015. Throughout this year, de la Pen…All Pen Everything has been working around the clock to produce and publish unique and original lifestyle content.
I’m proud to say that this year, we featured a variety of emerging artists, fashion, beauty, music, art, and travel brands brands as well as events. So with no further adieu, I present to you Now Let Me Ink That Page: Best of 2015.
- Pen’s Eye: Interview with Nobody – In this post, I interview Dallas based artist Nobody. He’s a talented painter who I met at Dallas Artopia. I love his work because it features pop culture in a cool and artistic way.
- Pen’s Eye: Vakseen Art – In this post, I interview LA based artist, Vakseen. Vakseen is a dope artist whose work is themed around female identity and society’s idolization of beauty, specifically the enhancements that women endure to obtain this level of “perfection” and the impact it has on our society.
- Now Let Me Ink That Page: #MakeUrPenLOUD – This post marks the first time I blogged about my book, #MakeUrPenLOUD: How To Be A Lifestyle Blogger. In the post, I talk about writing and editing the book as well as designing the cover.
- Y-Clad Lovers Lane – Y-Clad Lovers Lane was a content marketing campaign produced by my agency, 8515. We handled casting, creative direction, styling, and production.
- Flavor’s Night Out – In this post, I talk about my event, Flavor’s Night Out. Flavor’s Night Out is an event created to celebrate diversity and multiculturalism by showcasing art and fashion by multicultural artists. In this post, I tell you all about Flavor’s Night Out and I talk about who sponsored the event.
- Pen’s Rhythm Nation: The Notorious BIG – I rap in this post. If that’s not enough to make you want to read it and watch the video of me rapping, idk what is. How many skinny black girls from Cincinnati do you know that have multiple businesses and blogs and who can rap? Not many, I’d imagine. So meet the one and only by clicking on that link.
- Summer in the South – In this post, I announce Summer in the South. Summer in the South is a blog series that chronicles our travels and adventures in the Southern region of the U.S. Summer in the South is about showcasing the best cities, hotels, art, food, music, wine, beer, fashion, style as well as events in the South. For Summer of 2015, we visited Birmingham, AL.
- Pen.Point: The Seasoned Traveler…Dream Midtown NYC – While in NYC for Flavor’s Night Out, Cacha & I stayed at Dream Midtown NYC. In this post, I review my experience at the hotel. It was a fabulous hotel and I’m glad we stayed there.
- Pen.Style: #MakeUrPenLOUD – In this post, I announce the release of my book #MakeurPenLOUD: How To be A Lifestyle Blogger! I hope I don’t have to tell you why this is epic news.
- Press Pen: Jewels by Cacha` and #MakeUrPenLOUD Debut at Flavor’s Night Out – This post features a recap of Flavor’s Night Out. For those that missed the event, it is a must read! Also, I must add how fabulous Cacha & I look in the photos. Sorry that was #shamelesspromotion.

- Summer in the South Presents: Good People Brewing Company – This is Renee’s first published post on de la Pen…All Pen Everything. While in Birmingham, Renee & I visited Good People Brewing Company where we received a tour and complimentary beer.

- Summer in the South Presents: The Birmingham Civil Rights Museum – In this post, I talk about our visit to The Birmingham Civil Rights Museum. This was my favorite part of my trip to Birmingham because I learned so much about the city’s history and where racism comes from.

- LOUD.Style: Nubian Skin – This post features the 1st lingerie line created exclusively for women of color. As a chocolate girl, I am relieved to discover that such a brand has been created.

- Press Pen: Ivy Hills Country Club – This post is about my venue sponsor, Ivy Hills Country Club. Ivy Hills is located in my hometown of Cincinnati, OH and they provided space for my mom’s retirement party in exchange for marketing. Check it out and read all about them.
- LOUD.Life: Ms. Lillie’s Retirement Party – This post features a recap of my mom’s retirement party. It was a fabulous event and we all had a blast!
- Beauty and the Pen: #PennyGoesPurp with Manic Panic – In this post, I talk about collaborating with Manic Panic and dying my hair purple. It was a pretty epic moment. Make sure you check it out.

- Au Revoir/Bonjour de la Pen – I recently relocated to Dallas from Houston. To celebrate the move, I launched the Au Revoir/Bonjour de la Pen campaign. For this campaign, I am looking to partner with home decor, art, tech, electronic, and lifestyle brands who can offer products to help make my new place home.

- It’s 8515 Bitches: BlogLoud – This post talks about a new event I’m working on called BlogLoud. 8515 is producing BlogLoud and the inaugural event will be held in Dallas, Texas in early 2016. - LOUD.Life: Circle Seven Five – This post marks de la Pen…All Pen Everything’s last post for 2015 *tear*. In the post, I talk about joining Circle Seven Five, a fabulous organization for professional women in Dallas.
Having said all that, I am relieved that 2015 is coming to an end! It’s been a crazy year with all the work and projects that I have had going on. I’m thankful for each and every opportunity because each project is a learning experience.
As we move into 2016, the wheels in my head are spinning nonstop with new ideas for posts and projects. Renee and I have already created the editorial calendar for 2016 so stay tuned to see what we have in store!
