Dear Pennies & Pens,
As you all know, I published a book called #MakeUrPenLOUD: How To Be A Lifestyle Blogger just a couple months ago. To promote the book, I shot a campaign called Pen.Style: #MakeUrPenLOUD. For the shoot, I pulled clothing from Macy’s and accessories from Durrah Jewellery. The photos were shot by the fabulous Megan Weaver. I handled creative direction & styling for the campaign.
In this look, I’m rocking pieces by Rachel Roy, Durrah Jewellery, Aeropostale, and Chinese Laundry. The look is a combination of my own pieces as well as items pulled from Macy’s & Durrah Jewellery. This look is my absolute favorite from the campaign.

As I mentioned previously, I love black & white. They are two of my favorite colors because they are both so chic and timeless. As with the previous looks from the Pen.Style: #MakeUrPenLOUD campaign, we shot in front of Fashion Industry Gallery in Dallas.

The photos of me in this look are pretty fabulous. I especially love the shot of me jumping! As I mention in #MakeUrPenLOUD: How To Be A Lifestyle Blogger, you have to trust your photographer and follow their directions when shooting.
Jumping in that photo was Megan’s idea and if I wouldn’t have listened, I would’ve missed out on a great photo. I was terrified to jump in those heels especially since I was standing on a short wall but it totally worked!

In my opinion this look is a key moment in the campaign because I think it really fits my personality. I don’t wear a lot of color because I feel like black, white, and grey are so chic.
Plus those colors go with everything! It’s impossible to look bad in those colors. I like things that are simple and easy, I’m not into clothing that is complicated and unwearable.
