Dear Pennies & Pens,
Renee Jones here letting you know that Summer in the South is off to a rolling start. Since Summer in the South was created to spotlight the culture and lifestyle of the south, LoudPen and I kicked off this series with a visit to Good People Brewing Company.
Founded by Michael Seller and Jason Malone who saw a need to start something different in the way beer was brewed in the south. Located in the “Heart of Dixie” or Sweet Home Alabama as natives call it, Good People Brewing has become a leader of craft beer in the South, since starting operations in 2006. Good People is now sold throughout Alabama and Nashville. Starting this year, Good People will also be available in Florida.
With an ideal location across from Regions Field, Good People Brewing Co. offers great events that keep their tap room alive with conversation, laughter, and of course, good people.
If you happen to stop by, you may find yourself in the middle of a jumbo jenga competition, stopping in before the first pitch, or simply waiting for the best local food truck to stop by.
Have you ever craved something you didn’t even know you wanted? It’s a feeling you may have when you try the Coffee Oatmeal Stout by Good People Brewing Co.
While this brew packs a serious flavor, it goes down surprisingly smooth. It goes well with your fav bar snack or after a hearty dinner.
If you’re looking for the perfect craft beer that plays well with others, then begin and end your quest at the Bearded Lady. When this refreshingly crisp light ale hit my hands I knew I would be a forever fan, Bearded Ladies availability is limited through the summer months but is definitely worth the wait if u don’t stock up for the winter.
So when you decide to step into Good People just remember, the more the merrier, and all are welcome. Yup that’s right even your four legged best friend can come enjoy the vibrant yet relaxing environment at Good People!
And there it is. de la Pen…All Pen Everything. With us, keeping it real never goes wrong.
