Dear Pennies & Pens,

At the inaugural Flavor’s Night Out, Cacha` introduced guests to Jewels by Cacha`, an online boutique that offers simplicity at its best. JBC is dedicated to making modern women look and feel beautiful at an affordable price. Jewels by Cacha` was founded by Manager, Stylist, Photographer, and Co-Founder of 8515, Cacha` Lopez.

During the event, Cacha` offered guests an exclusive preview of JBC pieces. Flavor’s Night Out attendees were able to purchase JBC pieces that have not yet been released to the public. Cacha` also shared her story with FNO guests by explaining how she started her business and built Jewels by Cacha`.

Hailing from Washington Heights in NYC, Cacha` was never formally trained in fashion styling or jewelry buying.

As she stated at the event, “I was determined to follow my dreams and become a photographer and stylist. I decided to start JBC because I love jewelry and  noticed that in every shoot, I would always style the model in simple jewelry. I created JBC so I could offer women affordable, chic jewelry.”

Jewels by Cacha` will officially launch to the public soon. In the meantime, keep up with Cacha` here: Twitter @CachaLopez Instagram: @CachaLopez.

At Flavor’s Night Out, I introduced guests to #MakeUrPenLOUD: How To Be A Lifestyle Blogger. #MakeUrPenLOUD is the first book dedicated to teaching people how to be lifestyle bloggers.

#MakeUrPenLOUD features advice on how to write about fashion, beauty, music, film, art, travel, and events. #MakeUrPenLOUD was published by The InkSpot. The InkSpot is an international and multicultural lifestyle publishing, production, and design company.

Throughout the event, I shared tidbits from the book with guests. Flavor’s Night Out attendees were able to purchase a copy of the book which has not yet been released to the public.

Also during the event, I told my story to FNO guests explaining how I started blogging and built a business.

Originally from Ohio, I moved to NYC in 2008 after graduating from college. I started blogging shortly after graduating but didn’t begin to take it seriously until meeting Cacha` in 2010.

As I stated at the event, “I was blogging as a hobby until I met Cacha` and we started The Network. That’s when I started doing marketing and PR for clients. However my dream has always been to write a book. So a few months ago, I decided to get serious about writing a book. I thought it made sense to write a book on lifestyle blogging since that’s what I do. I knew I wanted to self-publish my book so I created The InkSpot so I could do that.

The InkSpot and #MakeUrPenLOUD will be released to the public soon. In the meantime, follow the brand here: Twitter: @TheInkSpotLP and Instagram: @TheInkSpotLP.

Gil Scott-Heron is widely recognized as being the “Godfather of Hip-hop” inspiring artists like Kanye West. His work has been featured in many movies, TV shows, and albums like “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”. His son Rumal manages his estate and is responsible for keeping Gil’s legacy alive.

In fact, the reason for the launch of JBC and ISLP is to bring the flavor and promote diversity which is the mission of 8515 (formerly The Network).
