Dear Pennies & Pens,
It’s ya girl LoudPen here to share some major news! This Spring, my business partner Cacha` and I are going to be some busy little bees. In fact, we’re already pretty busy and overwhelmed. Let me start from the beginning, back in November of 2010, Cacha` and I met and decided to start an agency called The Network.
For the next couple of years, we worked with artists and brands to provide marketing, PR, and management. However, upon being met with various trials and tribulations we decided to take a break. I moved to Texas and Cacha` decided to focus on her family.
Then last year, we decided to stop resting laurels and get motivated. I’ve always wanted to publish a book and Cacha has always loved jewelry so we figured the best way to make our dreams come true was to launch new companies. This sounded all well and nice in our heads but now that we’re in the execution phase…we’re pretty stressed out.
So by now you’re wondering what has us so stressed out?! Cacha` and I are going to be launching The InkSpot as well as Jewels by Cacha` not to mention relaunching The Network. To celebrate the launches, we’re hosting an event called Flavor’s Night Out on April 23, 2015 at Y-Clad’s Hidden Gem in NYC. That said, I present to you Press Pen: Flavor’s Night Out, The InkSpot, Jewels by Cacha`, and The Network.
That means we’re planning the event, pitching to sponsors, creating the guest list, marketing the event at the same time we’re creating websites for Jewels By Cacha` and The InkSpot. Also keep in mind that I have to finish editing and publish my book, Make Ur Pen LOUD.
By now you’re thinking that Cacha` and I have lost what is left of our minds. But I promise we have a plan! We’re following our dreams and over the past five years, we have truly grown as businesswomen.
Now let me tell you what these new brands are all about. Jewels By Cacha` is an online accessories boutique that features simplicity at its best. Jewels By Cacha` is dedicated to making modern women look and feel beautiful at an affordable price.
The InkSpot is a lifestyle production company that produces high quality, affordable, unique, and original products. The InkSpot produces blogs, books, magazines, clothing, accessories, music, film, cosmetics, and skincare.
This Spring, The InkSpot will be publishing Make Ur Pen LOUD written by yours truly. Make Ur Pen LOUD is a book about lifestyle blogging and social media.
It’s filled with tips and tricks on how to create unique and original content about fashion, beauty, music, travel, and art. Please make sure you stay tuned for the book because it is truly in a league of its own!
Our joint company, The Network is a multicultural creative agency. We offer marketing, public relations, branding, management, event production, creative direction, and styling. We work with fashion, beauty, music, art, and lifestyle brands.
At Flavor’s Night Out, we’ll be introducing The InkSpot, Jewels By Cacha`, and The Network. We’re also going to have a guest speaker, Rumal Rackley who is the son of Gil Scott-Heron aka the Godfather of Hip-hop.
Rumal will speaking about his late father’s memoir The Last Holiday. It’s going to be an awesome event so mark your calendar for April 23, 2015! We’ll also have art created by Ronald Draper on display at the event.
