Dear Pennies & Pens,
There are many online retailers but how many have fabulous websites that match their amazing products? You’d be surprised to know how many companies spends hours, days, weeks, months, and years curating the best products for their consumer but don’t spend nearly as much time developing a proper website. Thank goodness, Shopgoldyn.com is not one of those retailers.
Shopgoldyn.com recently released their new website and I must say, she’s a beauty! Shopgoldyn.com is the online extension of Denver-based boutique, Goldyn. Founded in 2007 by Vanessa Barcus, Goldyn started out as an online boutique carrying a curated mix of “it” brands and up-and-coming designers. In May of 2011, Goldyn opened its first brick and mortar store, located in the Lower Highland neighborhood of Denver in the newly renovated Olinger mortuary building.
Now stocking both women’s as well as men’s wear, including Helmut Lang, Mara Hoffman, Rachel Comey, A.P.C, Pamela Love, J Brand and Loeffler Randall, as well as an assortment of local Colorado designers, Goldyn has become a shopping destination for those in the know. The store has garnered a strong local and national following, Goldyn decided to refocus on its roots: online. The new website is the perfect representation of how Goldyn has grown, both online and in-store, as a brand over the last 7 years.
“We are so excited for this fresh, new website that really reflects our personality and current brand aesthetic while letting our merchandise do the talking with a really minimalist, simplified look,” says Barcus, “With improved shopping features and some cutting edge online technology, I think the new site will be easy to use by any shopper.”
The new Shopgoldyn.com site, aside from being aesthetically beautiful, is also incredibly user-friendly as well as interactive. Online customers will get a special peek into what is going on at Goldyn, from new arrivals and in-store events to the owner’s top picks for the season and the latest news in Denver. “We wanted the new website to really be integrated with our brick and mortar store, and showcase all of the special things we do here, such as our trunk shows, concerts, art openings, charity benefits and more,” according to Barcus, “Plus you will get to see and know the people behind Goldyn, making it a more personal experience. It’s been a long time coming for us, and we’re really proud of the results.”
I have visited the site many times since preparing to write this post, and I love it because it so simple and chic. Shopgoldyn.com has some fabulous products that are both unique and stylish. This will definitely be one of weekly website visits and I can’t wait to visit the brick and mortar store!
