Fabulous news, The Dallas International Film Festival kicks off this week! If you’re in the area, this is an event, you don’t want to miss. The 8th annual Dallas International Film Festival is being presented by AutoNation and is a production of the Dallas Film Society.
As it states on the website, “Our mission is to encourage this universal art form by bringing to Dallas quality independent films from around the world and by promoting our own local filmmakers on an international stage.” At this year’s event, there will be a variety of film screenings, panel discussions, as well as the Dallas Star Awards.
The Dallas Star Awards honors individuals who have made important contributions to shaping the face of modern cinema and the advancement of the art of film.The Dallas Star Awards honorees include John Wayne, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, and Michael John Kricfalusi.
