Hey Pennies & Pens!
Its Nicole, from Style Me B.A.D. During New York Fashion Week, I attended the CFDA Fashion Incubators Market Day where I previewed the Spring 2014 collection from Number: Lab, a menswear line that offers a stylish take on activewear.
The line, which started out as a T-shirt company in 2007 by Greg Lawrence has since then evolved into a casual-cool menswear line inspired by technology and tailoring.
NUMBER:Lab’s Spring 2014 collection is inspired by robotics and astro-technology with space suit-inspired pieces. The designs compliment movement and are tailored to match the mechanics of how the body moves naturally. I really like the space suit inspired paneling used in this jacket. Its very cool.
The brand infused a lot of its trademark “space blue” color using it in jackets, shirts and bottoms for its Spring 14 collection. They also included other bold hues like red and yellow. The collection also featured other jackets that were just as stylish yet still offer you protection from the outdoors along with color blocked tees and bright shorts.
The collection overall is very cohesive and looked great in the showroom. I look forward to seeing how Number:Lab progresses over the next few seasons. I think we can expect great things from this brand!
