Press Pen: The Affordable Art Fair NYC

Dear Pennies & Pens,

Earlier this month, I had the chance to attend my first art fair: The Affordable Art Fair here in NYC. I’ve been to my share of art exhibits, museums, and art shows but never an art fair. Some of you may even remember that I did the PR forĀ Fashion Illustration: A Contemporary LookĀ which was an exhibition on fashion illustration that was held at the Brooklyn Public Library. In essence, I was excited to attend my first art fair.

Upon arriving at the venue (Metropolitan Pavilion), I checked in and entered the fair. Honestly, I was completely overwhelmed! There was so much amazing art on every wall, I knew there was no way I’d be able to see everything. However, I did see most of the artwork on the main exhibit floor and I was very impressed. All of the artwork I saw was creative, unique, and interesting. Also, since all the art came from a variety of galleries and artists, it was truly a diverse show.
