Dear Pennies & Pens,
It’s Pen here to ink the page with a review of Falguni & Shane Peacock’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection. I was first introduced to Falguni & Shane Peacock last season when I attend their show so I was excited to see what they would present this season.
The Falguni & Shane Peacock Spring/Summer 2013 collection was a futuristic twist that transformed classic silhouettes and clean minimalistic shapes infusing them with high tech fabrications. The collection was inspired by the Space-age Rockstar meets Cyber-Couture through a blackhole of Sci-fi structure, shimmer, and sparkle that radiated the runway. The collection included psychelic prints, planetary plastic transparent trims, sequins, and feathers.
I absolutely adored this collection. There was a seriously dope pink & black dress that was made for the diva of the future space age, as well as a gold cocktail dress with sequins, and sparkles that I could see on a major rockstar celebrity. Another fabulous piece was a sheer white, blue, and black gown that was so sexy it could literally stop traffic. I also adored a cool dress with fresh prints that featured some sexy cuts at the top.
In essence, this collection was for any girl that embodies the line from Rihanna’s Rockstar “Six inch walker, big shit talker, I’ll never be a victim, I’d rather be a stalker.” With that said, Falguni & Shane Peacock is after my own heart because they know how to make clothes for the sexy rocker chick in all of us.
And there it is. de la Pen…All Pen Everything.
