Dear Pennies & Pens,
It’s Pen here to report on the Angel Sanchez Spring/Summer 2013 collection shown at New York Fashion Week. Unfortunately, I missed the show due to a scheduling conflict with another show. However, I decided to still feature the collection because I love Angel’s work! Angel Sanchez is a Venezuelan designer who started his line in 1987. Angel is known for his eveningwear because the designs are usually fitted, architectural gowns that are very popular amongst major celebrities.
For Spring/Summer 2013, Angel showed a collection that was full of his signature styles and silhouettes. In essence, there was beautiful floor length dresses such as a white, blue, and black dress that makes one want to melt. I really loved the design on this dress because it was simple yet interesting. There was also a simple white dress with cut-outs on the side. In fact, the cuts on the pieces were phenomenal! They were so chic and this detail gave the dresses a fresh take on a simple silhouette.
Honestly, although Angel is known for his eveningwear, the ready to wear pieces were my favorite in this collection. There was a lovely white top with black pants, a white, pink, & black dress (notice the cuts), and last but not least a cool white top with a mustard yellowish green skirt. Overall, the collection was definitely super cool. Please make sure you check out Angel’s site here: angelsanchezusa.com. And to see the full collection check out LoudPen on Facebook.
And there it is. de la Pen…All Pen Everything.
P.S. Thank you S/O to Brynne and Mao PR for the photos!
