Dear Pennies and Pens,
Last week, I attended the Rica Swimwear Press Preview here in NYC. The event was held on the rooftop of The Mondrian SoHo. First off, I must say that this location was fabulous! The view of the city was absolutely breathtaking! Seriously, I walked around snapping plenty of pics for my Instagram which you’ll find below. And as if the location wasn’t fabulous enough, there was also the stunning Rica Swimwear on display. Rica Swimwear was created by designer, Ava Sanjurjo. Ava grew up in the Bronx, NYC and she’s always been a fashion lover. Ava was influenced by her family including her sisters’ new wave ensembles and her grandmother’s colorful collection of accessories. Ava studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology and since that time she has worked for several large scale swim manufactures.
Since the inception of Rica Swimwear, the brand has been shown at Miami Fashion Week Swim and has been seen on countless celebrities. The current Rica Swimwear collection highlights the female shape and showcases Ava’s creative and artistic spirit. Rica Swimwear features exquisite details and fine craftsmanship to let the wearer know that the swimwear was created with care.
After seeing the Rica Swimwear collection in person, I must say that absolutely loved the pieces! The colors were bright, fun, and playful. Additionally, I could tell that all of the pieces created were high quality. I also got a chance to meet the designer Ava as well as her Publicist Drew Hunter.
