Dear Pennies & Pens,
It’s Ashley Gaga reporting for de la Pen and The Network on New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2012. I’m so excited to be joining the FAM Bloggers team and contributing guest posts to de la Pen. Please feel free to check out my blog: AshleyGaga.com for “Industry Candy from Inside the Industry”. Now onto the good stuff…aka my review of Farah Angsana’s F/W 13 collection.
Satin, silks, metallics, beadwork, glitter, gold, and glam. These words came to mind while watching the Farah Angsana show. And though the collection was created for the Fall, it definitely revealed elements of Spring.
Exposed shoulders, deep cleavage, and bare legs reminded me of a woman that enjoys her time in the sun. And the silhouettes of each gown were deliciously formfitting. These gowns and dresses were made for a woman who loves her curves.
And though I adored almost every look that cascaded down the runway, they were all forgotten once the final dress was revealed. This completely sheer, strapless dress was adorned with very few, strategically placed, shimmering peacock feathers. The gown revealed all of the models lovely lady lumps and parts. Even the private ones. (Thank God for nude underwear.) The final gown was by far my favorite piece I thoroughly enjoyed the show.
And there it is. de la Pen…All Pen Everything.
