Designer Discussion: Tadashi Shoji

Dear Pennies & Pens,

For this week’s Designer Discussion, I chose to feature Tadashi Shoji whose S/S 2012 collection I reviewed hereĀ on de la Pen after attending his runway show during New York Fashion Week. After receiving an invite to Tadashi’s press preview, I decided to attend so that I could view the collection up close.

Being that Tadashi was one of my favorite shows of the S/S 2012 New York Fashion Week season, it was a pleasure to see the collection in person. I went to the preview with my business partner,Ā @CachaLopezĀ who recently started her own blog, simply titledĀ Cacha`. Also, it was great having Cacha` there as she is a much better photographer than me & took some awesome pictures. In fact, all the pictures used in this post were taken by Cacha`.

Since I’ve already reviewed the collection, I’m not going to rewrite the review but please feel to let me know what you think of the collection in the comments.

And there it is. The Fashion & Style of the Pen…de la Pen.Ā

  1. The designs shown are very form flattering for a variety of body shapes. I like the colours too.

todashi shodi is obviously a deiegnsr who doesnt throw his hands up in defeat at the thought of dressing a bigger than model template woman like many lazy ass deiegnsrs do. i dont think the dress is slimming or all that i think it just shows her to her best advantage. she looks plus sized and utterly gorgeous. he doesnt even employ the fall back tactic of trotting out cleavage many deiegnsrs use for plus sized women. shes covered yet looks yummy.
