Dear Pennies & Pens,
It’s Pen here to report on the Perry Ellis Spring/Summer 2012 runway show. I covered Perry Ellis last season for F/W 2011, so I was excited to see what the brand would produce this season. Although, John Crocco the Creative Director is leaving the brand, he still designed a smooth, wearable, streamlined collection.
The colors were light yet masculine. There was white, ivory, beige, yellow, salmon, and grey. Cotton and linen were the most popular fabrics. As for the designs themselves, there were jackets, cardigans, sport coats, t-shirts, trousers, and even a few pairs of men’s capris.
Overall the collection was simple but that’s what makes it so classic. It was uncomplicated menswear which is something that every man wants. I truly enjoyed it and I’m curious to see what John Crocco will be doing after leaving and how the Perry Ellis brand plans to move forward. Check out the rest of my photos from the show here on my Facebook Page.
And there it is. The Fashion & Style of the Pen…de la Pen.
