Dear Pennies & Pens,
After the Fashion140 Conference ended, me and my fellow fashion writer & homie, @shalwah headed over to the Fashion Bug editor preview at the Ace Hotel. This event was FAB-U-LOUS! It made my day! When I first got the invite, I was reluctant because most of the fashion on de la Pen is very high-end and I haven’t been to a Fashion Bug in years so my point of reference was all off. However, I decided to be open minded and RSVP. I’ve been thinking about including more affordable fashion on de la Pen as it occurred to me that all my lovely Pennies & Pens might not be able to afford designers like Sue Wong and Nautica.
So to all my Pennies & Pens on a budget, you need to check out the Fashion Bug! The store sells women’s fashions and the looks are so chic. I’ve always been partial to a good deal and the Fashion Bug is full of them. At the event, we saw a gorgeous print top with an assortment of colors paired with skinny jeans, a black sweater, and leopard print bag. Next to it was beige and white top, dark skinny jeans, with a black blazer, and chain necklaces.
There was also a fabulous white corduroy jacket with fur fringe on the collar. I’m not a big fan of white jackets (they get dirty too easily) but this jacket had such a stunning design that would look good on many different body types. Also, there was some jewelry on display which included a necklace, bracelets, and earrings. The black and silver jewelry is definitely in as far as jewelry is concerned and besides, even when it’s out of style it’ll still be wearable. Black and silver never really go out of style.
In essence, Pennies & Pens, check out the Fashion Bug online or stop into a store in your neck of the woods. They’ve got great deals and some cool clothes so it’s worth checking out. Also, let me know what you think of the clothes posted in the comments. And feel free to let me know if you’d like to see more affordable fashion here on de la Pen.
And there it is. The Fashion & Style of the Pen…de la Pen.
