Dear Pennies, It’s Pen here to report on Carlos Miele’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection. This show was also held on Valentine’s Day in the tents right after Jenny Packham’s show. However, being the brilliant designer Brazilian that he is Carlos designed a collection of bright colors and bold textures.

For the collection, Carlos Miele used colors like rose, fuschia, cerulean, beige, black and white. The wide variety in the color palette gave the collection a well rounded selection and feel. The most popular fabric was silk although there were others like chiffon, velvet, and crepe. The collection also used capes and hoods as an accessory. In fact, my favorite ensemble was an off white crepe jumpsuit and a light gold silk hood with a lovely sash silk paprika around it.

In essence, this collection was definitely a highlight of fashion week. Additionally, Carlos Miele is definitely growing his brand as he had two ads in the March/Spring (Lady Gaga cover) Issue of Vogue. Better yet, the ad featured fellow Brazilian and supermodel Alesandra Ambrioso. Also, check out this video on Daily Front Row for Carlos Miele’s campaign. As always, check me out on Facebook for more pics of the collection. Let me know what you think of the collection and Carlos Miele, Pennies!
And there it is. The Fashion and Style of the Pen…de la Pen.
