Dear Pennies,
It’s Pen here to review Farah Angsana’s Fall/Winter 2011Ā New York Fashion Week show. Farah Angsana was born in Indonesia and was the first designer of Indonesian descent to present her collection in Paris. Farah studied fashion design and haute couture technique at the Central School of Fashion in London.
Farah is known for her eveningwear and haute couture as it is her specialty. A red carpet favorite, Farah creates gowns of elegance and glamour. Her embellishments are gorgeous and she also understands color, fabric, and silhouette. All these factors are very important when creating clothes especially the couture gowns that Farah is known for. The siteĀ Red Carpet Fashion Awards also discussed Farah’s signature designs and gave a witty and informative review of the designer’s latest collection.
For the Fall/Winter 2011 collection, Farah chose a brighter color palette, with colors like red, blue, and teal in the collection. Other staple colors like caramel and black were also used. Chiffon and silk were the main fabrics used and fur was a major accessory. Overall, the collection was lovely and I definitely enjoyed it. Check out Farah’s website for more info on this must see Indonesian designer. Lastly, check me out on Facebook for more pictures from the collection.
And there it is. The Fashion and Style of the Pen…de la Pen.
